After viewing the available properties on the TFR Web Site; and should the Prospective Tenants find one that is of interest, they will need to send an email to TFRLeasingGovernanceCouncil@transnet.net​​ in order to receive a reference number for the Lease Application Form and all Supporting Documents. This is essential, as in order all required information inform the point system used to evaluate the Prospective Tenants.

 

Please ensure that the correct information is sent to TFR, to evaluate your application in a speedy and fair manner.  There will be no opportunity to re-submit documents. All submissions must be provided in PDF format.

 

The table below details the objective criteria that will be used by the LGC in evaluating the Lease Application and Supporting Documents to make the necessary recommendations to the above mentioned governance structures:-

 

Information you need to know when applying for an operational lease or siding

BBBEE Rating/Compliance – In line with the relevant BBBEE Codes and/or Sector Codes:

  • Applicants must submit a valid BBBEE Certificate (Issued by a SANAS accredited verification agency) or a valid Sworn Affidavit (In cases of EMEs and/or qualifying QSEs). 

​​​Respondents who are non-compliant to the B-BBEE Codes are required to commit to sub-contract a minimum of 30% of the operational income value to any of the following designated groups:

  • An EME or QSE;
  • An EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by Black People;
  • An EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by black people who are youth;
  • An EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by black people who are women;
  • An EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by black people with disabilities;
  • An EME or QSE which is 51% owned by black people living in rural or underdeveloped areas or townships;
  • A cooperative which is at least 51% owned by black people;
  • An EME or QSE which is at least 51% owned by black people who are military veterans.

 Supplier Development Programme Plan:

  • Applicants to provide a development plan that addresses the following:
  • Skills Development (Bursaries, training of Technicians/Engineers/other Businesses etc.);
  • Job Creation (excluding Local Economic Development job creation);
  • Local Economic Development (Creation of jobs & business support within local communities);
  •  Enterprise and Supplier Development (Support of emerging SMMEs).
