Change Leadership

Change Leadership designs, manages and sustains change and transformation initiatives in the Business Unit in support of organisational strategies.

A set of structured processes, tools and techniques for proactively managing the people side of change to achieve the desired business results. Currently, the organisation uses the Prosci Methodology to support and embed change initiatives. Communicate and embed Culture Charter behaviours in TFR. This includes the support of Leadership Development as per the Leadership Archetype of TFR. Develop EE plan interventions, Monitor and report on EE for the organisation; Facilitate and chair the National EE Forum on how to plan and implement EE

Our Services:

  • Create a climate for change within TFR
  • Implement change leadership initiatives within time, quality and budget requirements.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of change management interventions.
  • Build change leadership capacity in TFR
  • Where required, liaise with external change consultants and provide guidance and/or assistance to ensure that they meet the required contractual requirements.
  • Conduct change management interventions in support of change initiatives.
  • Embed the organisational values and drive culture enhancement through comprehensive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Vigorously promote awareness and implementation of Employment Equity targets and related initiatives.

Employee Relations

Employee relations develop and implement appropriate policies, procedures and interventions that promote healthy labour and management interactions and relations and provide:

  • Capacity programmes to management and labour regarding discipline and grievance management.
  • Conclude collective bargaining agreements.
  • Coordinate and oversee dispute management processes.
  •  Represent Transnet Freight Rail in dispute forums. 
  •  Facilitate management and labour engagement.
  • Capacitate management on collective legislative agreements and monitor compliance. 
  •  UNISA/ Transnet Freight Rail Employee Relations short course.
