​Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), the largest division of Transnet SOC Ltd, set new operational records of coal railed to Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) in the RBCT month of August 2017. The remarkable weekly performances during this period culminated in a total tonnage railed during this month to 7 464 715 tons, thus exceeding the previous record of 6,9 million tons by 498 910 tons. On the 08th of September 2017, Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), an Operating Division of Transnet SOC, Limited, will partner with the community of DuNoon Informal Settlement and the Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality in the Western Cape Province, to celebrate National Arbor Month by planting Ten (10) indigenous trees.
